Sustenance food blog has been in the making since 2006. It started as a thought in passing when Victoire, single and living by herself, dreamt up recipes for the single working person. Recipes that were simple yet nourishing, easy to make and enjoy whether catering for one or many.
Before the blog was realised Nico came onto the scene, they shared recipes and ideas, traded laughter and crooned over every new flavour, promising to “blog it” once their delightful food blog had come into being.
We finally managed to put pen to paper or code to the information highway and started Sustenance, a food blog from Johannesburg in 2008.
Our vision for Sustenance is to provide insights into simple, fast, tasty food… the kind of stuff you’ll enjoy making whether you’re preparing dinner for one, the whole family or the entire neighbourhood.
